Rally Reports....
1st in class !
Congratulations to Tammy Lewis-Jones and Rachael Turgoose.
Congratulations to Tammy and Rachael on a class win on the Pennine Stages at Ty-Croes in August. The pair  driving their Peugeot 106 Rallye battled with the very wet conditions to obtain their first ever class win.

They were very lucky to finish the event when they turned up at service with a stake through the radiator! The rad was removed and 'fixed' by crimping the bottom 4 fins and melting/gluing of the bottom mount to prevent water loss.

They gained a stage maximum but were able to continue. no problems until the penultimate stage when they snapped a clutch cable which was quickly replaced and out they went again to finish the event.

Look out for them at Caerwent at the end of September!!!

Carl Poscha and Ray Hotty do Finland.
Carl and Ray entered the Neste Rally Finland in their Gp N Citroen Saxo 1.6 VTS.

The crew flew out the weekend before to recce the route.

We followed towing the car through France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and finally Finland.

The journey approx 1600 miles 8 countries and 4 ferries took 3 days!

Scrutineering on the Thursday presented no problems and the car was now ready for the start on Friday.

Car 159 returned to service on Friday no major problems, beautiful weather and some very respectable stage times.

The phone rang whilst we were waiting for  the second service, the worst news! Carl had rolled the car into a ball on stage 5 and the rally was over. A real shame all the effort that had gone into the pre-event preparation for nothing, but at least he went further than some others.

Tommi M out on stage 1 !

Check out the pics ; before & after!

Cambrian Rally 2000.
Congratulations to Carl Poscha,
Congratulations to Carl Poscha and Ray Hotty on their class win on the Dee Jays  Cambrian Rally. (North Wales premier kitchen, bathroom and home improvements center)

The N2 Citroen Saxo had a trouble free run the whole day, the pairing led the class from stage one and were never challenged all day.

One spectator asked Carl are you having trouble with the car? it was misfiring as you went past. No came the reply that was the rev limiter in 5th!!!

1st. in class on the Plains.

Poscha had a trouble free run, all day, the only only slight problems being: - Jumping out of second gear and a sump guard mounting which broke and needing welding into place at service.

Not so congratulations to Carl Poscha on the Red Dragon.

Trailered the car to scrutineering on the Friday night only to fail for a split seam in the drivers overalls (Carls now known as buster go..)

The problem was eventually sewn up.

The following day he got off to a good start no car problems, it was running like a dream, the only problem was the driver going off the road for 10 mins! No damage to the car just to the class position!

Scottish Rally, Dumfries.
Ernie Graham Peugeot 306 Gp N Congratulations for First in Class.

He started the event running 2nd in class first service we welded up some cracks in the front crossmember.

Each service we chased the cracks. Next service the car was leaning to one side at the front. The proflex had pushed through the top mount, we changed the complete strut for a Bilstein tarmac and sent him on his way!

Next service the proflex was refitted with a new top mount (thanks to the proflex chaps for recharging the unit) only to find the other strut top was pushing through so this was also replaced. No problems for the rest of the day.

Day 2 On the way to first stage the alternator belt jumped off the start of a problem. At first service we found the alternator bracket cracked so the battery was changed after every stage and a power pack with long jump leads carried in the car as a backup!

Last service only 2 stages to go the front strut snapped in the hub! A spacer was fitted to push the wheel out to clear the strut and a very conservative drive was required to reach the finish.

Luckily the rest of the class had more trouble and first in class was gained.

Congratulations to Ernie Graham and co-driver Danny Kent on their class win on the MSA Rally of Grantham.

The car ran faultlessly all day without the slightest hiccup. The pair have now acheived the N3 class win they deserve without having to contest the final round, the Manx.

Well done to all involved!
